Last week, EngageOKC teamed up with The Makeup Bar and Deep Fork for a fabulous Girls Night Out event! I brought my friend Amanda along from The Lady Okie Blog, and we had a blast checking out all the makeup, candles, jewlery, etc. on display.
They were also offering a number of beauty treatments:
(1) Microdermabrasian treatment: Alex Mendez-Kelley, The Makeup Bar's owner, treated me to an organic microdermabrasian treatment. I did a little research on happyliving.com, and it said the "procedure can be used for polishing and reducing fine lines, exfoliating and suctioning clogged pores due to acne problems, reducing mild acne scars and pigment irregularities." This was my first time having this done, and although it felt a little strange at first (think intense exfoliation), I loved the fresh glow it gave my face.
(2) Glitter makeover: I also took advantage of the free makeover from one of the renowned makeup artists with The Makeup Bar.
All the products smelled amazing and felt great going on, and I loved how natural the look was.
Hair styling: The highlight of the night was hanging out with fellow bloggers Claire from My Devising and Ashley from The Cream to My Coffee. The two of them had their hair done by Brittany, who showed them different ways of getting great curls.
And we feasted on this deliciousness from Deep Fork, with everything from mini baked bries to cheescake, along with fun and fruity drinks.
Thanks to everyone involved for a wonderful night of pampering and girl talk!
