I absolutely love the Oklahoma City Zoo. This January and February they've offered free admission every Monday, so I've made a point of going over there for a least an hour to get a good walk in and check on what the animals are up to.
This past Monday was a special highlight because a baby gorilla had just been born on Valentines Day. The zoo was crawling with people since all the kids were out for President's Day and the weather was nice. All of us could not get enough of this little one!
Sadly, the baby's dad, a gorilla named Bom-Bom, passed away last summer, but it was so sweet to watch the mama taking care of it. She cradled it under her arm and every so often would go swinging around with it, making sure the other gorillas didn't mess with them.

A lot of new babies were born at the zoo last year as well. In January, giraffes Ellie and Bogy became parents for a second time to a calf named Sergeant Peppers, who was 5'6 at birth.

The zoo offers a giraffe feeding time for guests at the zoo, and it's so fun to get up close to these giant animals.
Last March, I visited the zoo two weeks after four red river piglets were born. Their names are Herb, Dill, Ginger, and Sage. They've grown so much in the past year; they definitely look like they're in full-blown adolescence now.
