Sometimes instead of buying a fancy dress for an event, I rent one.
I don’t remember where I first heard about Rent the Runway, but I’ve used it three times so far and absolutely loved it.
I rented this gold, sequined beauty and used it for an office Christmas party one night and a Great Gatsby themed wedding/Justin Timberlake concert the next night!
The process couldn’t be easier (and no, they’re not paying me to say that!):
(1) Enter in the dates you’re needing a rental (4-day or 8-day, unless you sign up for the unlimited rental monthly agreement).
(2) Enter your size. You can also filter by color of dress, the formality of the event, your body type, price, etc.
(3) Confirm your outfit of choice is available, schedule your rental, and get ready for a night full of compliments!
(4) The package includes a case for returning it with the postage prepaid. (Shipping is not included in the listed rental price of the dress.)
In addition to formal dresses, they also have everyday outfits, accessories, and jewelry. So far, I’ve just done formal dresses and had so much fun with it. I probably wouldn’t have purchased a dress with a capelet, but I loved rocking it for the Central Oklahoma Humane Society’s annual Hero Awards Gala.
Other designers you’ll find include Monique Lhuillier, Rachel Zoe, & Christian Siriano, who got his start on Project Runway.
